Shine a light…

I always expect the best from people…always look for it…give people the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps it’s my old-fashioned values. My upbringing. My soft heart. It’s the reason I look for the extraordinary in the ordinary characters I write about every day. For the most part, all of the men and women who fill my pages shine…in the end. They’re not perfect. They make mistakes. They fall down, but pick themselves up again and do the best that they can.

It’s all any of us can do.

As you look at the world around you, be a light in the darkness. It’s the best that you can do.
